The Political Masquerade

They started out

As simple half truths

Tiny white lies

That

All too soon

Turned into fat

Blunders

They hid the truth

Even when it

Exposed itself

Naked

The lies out

On full display

For all to see

Wide-open

As they try

To invite more lies

To masquerade

As the truth

A poem I wrote a for VSS365 on Twitter in October. The word prompt was naked.
