Halloween used to be my favorite time of the year.
That all changed when the zombies, werewolves and witches showed up in my hometown of Gravesvale.
It all started a few weeks prior to Halloween when I was on my way to work.
I can still remember the rhythmic sound of my heels clicking against the concrete sidewalk. I wanted to leave some food for the colony of wild cats that lived behind the Fastmart.
I smiled thinking about all the little kittens that would bashfully greet me. As I turned the corner, I realized something, it was oddly quiet. The lights of the Fastmart were flickering on and off, as if the worker inside was trying to send an SOS signal.
I should have followed my gut and ran the opposite way. Instead I pushed aside the silly notion that there was something sinister lurking near my colony of cats.

This is a work in progress. I will post updates to my Gravesvale story as I write it. 🙂
