A Writer’s Good Intentions. A poem by Ashley Houston.

A Writer’s Good Intentions.

Taking a hopeful

Breath

That the ending

Will soon emerge

As the pen

Waits

As the line

Blinks

This elusive

Ending

Will not

Obey

Allowing for

Procrastination

Allowing for

Unfinished

Thoughts

The words

Scattering along

The page

Now waiting

For the writer

To pick up

That waiting

Pen

To type

Moving

That blinking

Line

Until it is

Finished.

The picture I chose to go along with this poem was one that I just took of my journal. 🙂

I hope that you enjoyed reading my poem! 🙂

I wrote this poem while thinking about how a story I am currently working on should end. I am procrastinating on finishing my story so now I am writing poetry… 😀
