Aging. A poem by Ashley Houston.

Aging.

Gray hairs

Are starting

To outgrow

The colored ones

The ones lost

To Age

Youth flees

Into thought

While Age

Takes over

The physical

Gray hairs

Are now

Everywhere

Spotted upon

A child’s

Sweater

Bittersweet

Moments

Realized

That time

Never stops

Yet the mind

Stays

Ever the same.

The picture I picked to go along with this poem is one I took on the fourth of July a few years ago. 🙂

I hope you liked my poem! 🙂
